LGBTQ+ Therapy in California
You Belong Here!
Maybe you’re navigating questions about identity, relationships, family, or belonging. Maybe you’re trying to understand yourself more deeply, set boundaries, or figure out how to feel more fully yourself in your relationships.
I offer online LGBTQ+ therapy throughout California for individuals exploring identity, relationships, sexuality, and what it means to feel like your most authentic self.
When Identity and Relationships Intersect
Your identity can affect how you experience relationships, intimacy, family, and the world around you. Maybe you're navigating a new understanding of yourself while in a long-term relationship. Maybe coming out has changed a relationship. Maybe you're figuring out how your gender or sexuality fits into your partnership, family, or other relationships.
I believe sexuality deserves to be approached with intelligence, responsibility, and tenderness. There’s room for curiosity, complexity, and honest conversations about the ways longing shapes us, tests us, and sometimes brings us back to ourselves and each other.
As a professor of Black Sexualities, I also bring an intersectional lens to my work, creating space to explore how culture, race, gender, sexuality, and identity can influence the way we experience ourselves and our relationships.
Making Space for Your Identity
Many of the people I work with are trans, nonbinary, gender-expansive, questioning, or gender non-conforming. Some are just beginning to explore their identity. Others have been living in their gender for years and are navigating a new chapter. You may simply want a space where you can talk openly, be understood, and not have to explain the basics of your experience.
Some things we might work on together:
Exploring gender identity or questioning what feels true
Processing dysphoria, gender euphoria, or complicated feelings about your body
Preparing for or integrating gender-affirming medical care (HRT, surgery, etc.)
Navigating coming out, transition, or changes in relationships
Reconnecting with your body and sense of embodiment
Exploring sexuality, pleasure, and intimacy in the context of gender
Healing from experiences of stigma, discrimination, or rejection
Building a life that feels more aligned with who you are

FAQs
What can I expect in my first session?
1
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and the experiences that have shaped you. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and free to show up as your authentic self.
Do I have to be "out" to start therapy?
2
Not at all. Whether you're questioning, exploring, selectively out, or not out at all, you are welcome here. Therapy is your space, and you get to decide what feels safe to share and when.
Can therapy help me navigate coming out?
3
Yes. Coming out can bring up excitement, uncertainty, grief, fear, and relief, sometimes all at once. Therapy can help you explore your identity, process your emotions, build confidence, and make decisions that feel authentic to you and your values.
Do you work with transgender and nonbinary clients?
4
Absolutely. My practice is gender affirming and welcomes transgender, nonbinary, gender expansive, and gender-questioning folks. I strive to create a space where you can explore your identity, relationships, and experiences with curiosity, respect, and without judgment.
